Show -5XX5X5X5SX5X5X5XSXSXSX5 White rocks 5XSX5X5X5XSXSXSXS Odekirk-Siein Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Ode-kirk Ode-kirk announce the marriage of their daughter, Pfc. Beverly Alma Odekirk to Sgt. Jack Stein of Olymer, Penn. A military wedding was' held at the post chapel Army Air Base, San Bernardino, Calif. The bride dressed in her uniform, wore a corsage of pink and white roses. Her maid of Honor, Pfc. Helen Benton of Texas, wore her winter off duty dress, with a corsage of gardenias. Sgt. David Moore of San Bernardino Bern-ardino acted as best man. Fifty guests were present. Relatives of the bride attending were Mr. and Mrs. Pace Odekirk, Mrs. Sue Kyker and Mr. and Mrs. Preston ' Odekirk of Los Angeles, F 1-c C. L. Dean,' uncle of the bride and a patient at the Oceanside Naval hospital was also in attendance. at-tendance. After the ceremony the bridal couple left for a short honeymoon at Big Bear Lake. Beverly graduated from Roosevelt Roos-evelt high school in 1943, attended attend-ed the Carbon Junior College at Price where she was a member ( of the Pi Gamma Chi Sorority. She joined the WACS in August 1944, took her basic training at Des Moines, Iowa and has since been stationed at San Bernardino, Bern-ardino, California. T-Sgt. Stein a graduate of Clymer high school (Pennsylvania) (Pennsyl-vania) entered the service at the age of eighteen. He has spent five years in the army, two and one half years spent overseas in the South Pacific. He recently received his discharge, and is now working at the AABSB a- waiting the release, from the WACS, of his wife, after which they will make their home in Los Angeles where Jack will attend at-tend the University. After spending a thirty day leave here with his wife and oth-er oth-er relatives, Henry Wopsock S 2-c of the U S Navy returned to his base in Oakland, California. Lt. and Mrs. "Pete" Green arrived ar-rived Thursday to spend a few days at the home of Lt. Greene's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alick Greene. Rev. and Mrs. Sterling Talbot received word from their son, Lt. Sterling Talbot, Jr., of the U. S. Navy that he is enroute to the U. S. by ship from Siapan, where he has spent the past two years. The vacancy left by Mrs. Ida Phillips at the Uintah Boarding school has been filled by Mrs. Royal Horrocks of Hayden. Other new teachers in the Boarding Board-ing school are Mrs. Bernard Obcrhansley and Bob Holmes. Mr. and Mrs. Obcrhansley and family have moved into the home recently-vacated by Julius Murray and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Holmes and family are occupying oc-cupying the apartment vacated by the Edwards family. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edwards and family and Mrs. Ethel Kam-merdiemer Kam-merdiemer and son, Gary left this week for Max Creek, Missouri. Mis-souri. Mrs. Edwards has accepted accept-ed a position in the Max Creek high school. Mr. Edwards recently recent-ly resigned his position in the Uintah Boarding school, where he has taught for the past four years. Miss Illo Pidgeon left this week for Carson City, Nevada, where she will attend school. William R. Fry left Monday for Victorville, California where he will spend a couple of weeks with his brother, T-Sgt. George Fry. George is stationed at the Victorville Army Air Base. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edwards and family and Mrs. Ethel Kam-merdiemer Kam-merdiemer and son, Gary were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Fry last Sunday. Mrs. Florenca Marimon and) Mrs. Mable Chamberlin were delegates at the B P W Convention Con-vention in Salt Lake City this week. They were accompanied to Salt Lake by Miss Mary Talbot. Mrs. Laurence Odekirk has accepted ac-cepted a position as saleslady at Wing's Store at Ft. Duchesne. |
