Show AMVJ w.ww " filyton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish The Barracks was the scene of a gay party Friday evening when members of the American Lesion Le-sion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit No. 5, gathered for their regular monthly month-ly social meeting. Cards wene enjoyed, en-joyed, after which the Auxiliary Aux-iliary served a delicious pot-luck supper. Harol Haslam and Harold Parkins, Par-kins, who have been' installing new machinery at the Globe Seed and Feed plant, left Friday Fri-day for their homes in Twin Falls, Idaho, having completed their job here. Heber Allred left Wenesday for his home in Salina, Utah. He has spent the summer here attending at-tending to his ranch and recently completed a very profitable harvest. har-vest. Mr. Allred sold his property pro-perty before leaving to join his wife in Salina. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Barton, of Los Angeles, visited with Mr. and Mrs, James Dalgleish Saturday Satur-day as they spent the day driving driv-ing to the many points of interest in this portion of Duchesne county. They are visiting at the ranch home " of Mr. and Mrs. Del Combs, near Duchesne. Mr. Barton is Mrs. Comb's father. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler enjoyed en-joyed a brief visit from Mr. and Mrs. W, F, Gross, of Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colorado, who spent Thursday Thurs-day and Friday in Myton. Mrs. R. T. Bonin, of Roosevelt, visited visit-ed for a few days with the Koeh-lcrs Koeh-lcrs before leaving with Mr. and Mrs. Gross for Grand Junction where she will visit for a short time before going on to Joplin, Mo. to spend the winter with her sister, Mrs. W. J. Leffen. Mrs. Gross is a niece of Mrs. Bonin and Mrs. Koehler. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Oldham and Mrs. Eileen Williams and small daughter spent the weekend week-end in Salt Lake City with relatives. rel-atives. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Groft, of Magna, visited with old friends Thursday after enjoying a few days hunting the hard-to-get deer. They made their home for several years on a ranch near Myton, leaving here about 5 years ago to make their home at Magna. Roland. Krebs, who was a member of one of the hunting parties from this district, left Saturday for his home in Salt Lake City, taking a fine deer with him. He was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris while here. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish were dinner guests at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Del Combs near Duchesne, Sunday. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne; Mr. and Mrs. Devere Barton, of Los Angeles, An-geles, and Mrs. Eleanor LaBronte of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Oscar Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Huish, of Roosevelt, spent Sunday in Heber. Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Defa, Mr. Frank Defa and Mrs. Tracy Roberts and small daughter, of Hanna, were Myton business visitors Monday. Miss Alice Todd and niece, Nancy Todd, returned Friday from Pueblo, Colorado, where they spent a week as quests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Sims. The fact that one of our local boys is making a name for himself him-self since going to Salt Lake came to our attention recently. James O. Dean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Dean, of Myton, was one of a group of 5 who designed the costumes for 'The Great American Family," a comedy presented by the Salt Lake Theatre group at the Lyric Theatre on October 11-12-13. Mr. Dean is also a millinery designer de-signer working under the name Jo Dean. |
