Show Scouts return from high Uintah by Bert Dannenberg Field Executive Boy Scouts have returned from the successful High Uinta camp-out in Windy Sixteen troops with scouts and leaders from the Uintah Basin spent five days and camping in the area where history was made over 60 years They camped on the site of the Windy Park Rangers Station which was located on the old Military Road that carried Ores from the mines and connected the Basin with This old road which crossed the top of the Uintah mountain has been abandoned for over fifty Merit Badges and First Class advancement were given during the mornings and in the afternoons scouts could take part in the field sports of hiking and Friday afternoon contests were held with troop of taking first place in the three-legged and Myton troop first place in the archery Friday evening a was held with fire lighting put on by the Order of the Arrow under the direction of Morty The high light of the campfire was the presentation of the Eagle Award to Paul Class A camping awards were presented to troop Roosevelt 2nd Troop and Troop Myton Class B Camping Awards were presented to troop Neola and Troop Duchesne Attending the Camp from Roosevelt and Duchesne Districts Troop Neola with Robert Dyle Paul Leslie Cecil Lyndon and Vale Troop Roosevelt 2nd with John P. Greg Ladd Gregory Mc Edward and Douglas Troop Ballard Ward with Clark Howard Stanley Ken Von Brent Beardall and Terry Leaders attending were Donald Spencer Max Randy Grant James Duke and Burt Rouse of Duchesne Scouts attending from Duchesne Troop were Paul Terry La-mont and Tyke Kar-gis Candidates were selected for membership into the Order of the Arrow and will finish their membership requirements at Camp Maple Dell on Sept Selected for membership were Brent L.
