Show Ail Set For Third Annual Music May Roosevelt Sponsor Music Elaborate Programs P Three Juleps From Outside Basin Will Judge In All Classes During Two-day t Approximately one thousand music students from high schools of east Utah gather in Roosevelt Friday and this for the third annual Uintah Basin music orchestras and choruses string and trios and soloists will participate in a two-day schedule of climaxed by a band parade and band The contests are open to the public and everyone is invited to attend any and all One of the purposes of the festival is to give and patrons an opportunity to hear and compare of the various schools in order that they might appraise the music programs of their own school and the progress of Activities will begin May 1st at 6 p. m. with all vocal solos and j ensembles from junior and senior high Mammoth Parade May 2nd at 2 p. m. there will be a mammoth parade which will be led by the American Legion color followed by the seventeen bands from Duchesne and Uintah counties Line of parade start at the intersection of the Neola and US 40 highways on Main street and run south on Main to Lagoon to State street and ending at the city park where at 4 p. m. several se will be rendered by the mass band At 7 p. m. band concerts with all high school bands participating will be Judges to Act Clair W. director f music at the Weber college will act as head judge and will be assisted by Roland Perry and Del-mar The colorful the interesting concerts and the enthusiastic youngsters be a thrilling sight for parents of the Uintah all of whom are urged by school officials to be in attendance so that they may sec for themselves what is being done in the Basin Street dances will be held Friday and Saturday nights sponsored by the Roosevelt J.
