Show Uintah Students Bring Program To Roosevelt Spirit or Friendly N Cooperation Good sportsmanship and an attitude of cooperation dominated the program presented by students of the Uintah high school for the Roosevelt high school student body assembly Friday Bill Uintah student body took charge of the program and in an opening address urged friendship and cooperation between the two He said that in the past there had been much undesirable and needless feeling between the two traditional rivals and that he wanted lo help break down that R. H. S. students responded with enthusiastic cheering and Harold M. principal of Uintah and Coach Frank Wright spoke highly of the Rough that the support or their school was strongly behind them and wished them success in the state tournament The Uintah I high school band under the diec-I tion of Karl Engar played after which Miss Carma Rao Uintah cheer I lead R. H. S. students in some yells specially composed by Uintah for A girls' trio sang a number fitted to the occasion and a group of boys presented a dramatizing the series of games by which the Rough Riders won the district the round robin tournament and hops to win the state At the conclusion of the program Kenneth R. H. S. student body expressed the school's appreciation for the excellent program and the fine spirit shown by He extended Roosevelt's friendship and declared that the feud between the two schools was dead so far as Roosevelt was |
