McKay of Bountiful received the prestigious Presidential Medal at ceremonies last weekend during the traditional Homecoming banquet at Brigham Young University. THE MEDAL is given annually by the BYU Alumni Association and the LDS Foundation to individuals who have rendered extra-ordinary service to the university. The medal was presented by BYU President Jeffrey R. Holland. The McKays were selected for b d.v. i because of their "distinguished service to BYU in a range of important roles -- from serving as tele-fund tele-fund callers and membership on the Alumni Board of Directors Direc-tors to special assignments from the University president and the Development Office." DURING THE banquet, Pres. Holland launched the "Excellence in the Eighties" campaign to raise $100 million during the next five years to support adacemic programs McKay, a native of Hunt-sville, Hunt-sville, is a partner in a law firm in Salt Lake City and graduated gradu-ated from BYU with a degree in accounting and economics He earned a juris doctor degree de-gree at the University of Chicago Chi-cago Law School in 1961. MRS McKAY graduated in English from BYU in 1958 and has since taught English and speech at high schools in Chicago Chi-cago and Bountiful and at the University of Utah. She cur- MR. AND MRS.
