V Mrs. Mary Tingey has been chosen as president of the Relief Society and Mrs. Vanice Stuart and Lizzie Cox as her counselors. The retiring presidency was Mrs: Tennie May Stacey, Mrs. Mae Hopkins and Mrs. Eddis Huffaker. Mrs. Sophia Ashton was operated upon this week at the 'LDS hospital for her hip which has never been well since it was broken three years ago. We all hope that Mrs. Ashton recovers and gains her strength and able to "get around again. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Cornia of Ogden, spent a couple of days here visiting .with Mr. and ..Mrs. Osro Cornia. Saturday afternoon a shower was given for Mrs. Elwin Dickson at the home of Mrs. Lottie Dickson. She received many beautiful, and useful gifts. This couple are living at Logan, Utah. A dance was given Friday night for soldiers who ' have returned home and are discharged for- boys: home on furlough. The Randolph orchestra furnished the music. There was a very fine crowd and everyone had a nice time. Mr. and Mrs. George South of Salt Lake, were in attendance at the dance given for the soldiers, as also many from Evanston and Randolph, Mary Lou Cornia and Edith Long hurst went to Evanston this week where they are to be employed. (Special) The Treasury has called attention to a special Victory Bond to be sold during the Victory Loan campaign, starting October 29, for $11,000,000,000. The bond is in memory of the late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Il will be on sale at all agencies authorized to issue United States s Bonds of Series E. The bond will he' in th denomination of $200, to be issued at $150.
