Show LAKETOWN the mutyala started the festivities last week when the juniors did some caroling on principal street corners after which they were given a nice party at the ward hall given by their class leaders one of the out outstanding parties of the season was the choir xmas party at the ward ball thursday evening dec sponsored by chorister lola johnson and associates the choir met early at the hall and from there were transported in a large truck around all the blocks of the city singing christmas carols they then returned to the hall and thawed out their numbed benumbed be limbs and feet by doing a few lively dances s then moved moved to the banquet room where a splendid supper was wag served the christmas color scheme was carried throughout small xmas trees with lights and trimmings adorned 0 ned the tables and the salad and ice cream were in xmas colors colora this was followed by dancing for the remainder of the evening and all pronounced it a very good party each members was called upon to make a christmas wish santa appeared and presented each a gift on friday christmas eve the primary presented a pageant on the birth of the savior after the pageant 9 a junior dance was haj had when santa claus entered and presented each member with a present pop corn balls were given to each person present much pleasure to the multitude of children present pres and each child went home with a merry heart mr and mrs carl norris and M mr and mrs farrell johnson went to wellsville and logan to spend the christmas holidays louis robinson of rexburg Rex burg miss irene robinson and miss Mis hazel weston of salt lake and miss myrtle johnson of logan were home to spend the holiday vacation hugh L lamborn left wednesday for denver colo to enter naval training miss wilma kearl of salt lake is spending the christmas vacation at the home of her parents mr and mrs W E nearl kearl the teachers miss jessie mecham went to her home at nephi mrs lanyon to salt lake and mrs 13 sims to garden city to spend xmas the ward budget dance christmas night was very well attended and all had a good time the fish haven orchestra chestra er furnished the music mrs larue and family of logan spent christmas at the hyrum ranch J L willis went to salt lake to take a physical test prior to entering the armed forces wishing everyone a more happy and prosperous new year |
