was held at the home of eddis huffaker friday A lovely time was had by the ladies and the quilt completed so nice to get together for a sociable time as well as to help each other with their quilts the sophomore carnival was held friday night 1 i n the putnam hall with confetti horri horns s hats good music and a large crowd who have a 9 good time mrs lew steen loa putnam and boy fridd friend of Woods cross attended the dance also mr and mrs clarence moon of almy mrs waldo dean of evanston mr and mrs kenneth hoffman and mr and mrs frank yc Kinnon of randolph and many others miss eileen brown spent the week end at ogden with her sister mary mrs T J and and roka hoka of ogden spent the week end here they came from ogden with T J stuart and virginia putnam mr and mrs elden putnam delores cox of evanston and mrs red bruce of almy were town visitors sunday roy cox and loraine dean who have been at Cam camp roberts are home on a few days furlough 0 mr and mrs earl or of evanston brought the boys home saturday evering and spent the night here we are glad to have these boys home nd hope they have an enjoyable birns tirns while they are here rollo eastman spent the week end home this week and arvel his son returned to his station in the armed forces sunday we surely hope arvel has had a good time and wish him the best of luck mr nad mrs arthur cox spent the week end in salt lake with mr and mrs john cox mr ted south of providence came saturday for his family who have been visiting here for a week we were all glad to see mildred and her family for a fend few days francis tingly returned to logan with them he is going there for or a few days visit letters were received this week from shirley and dee cox dee cornia these boys are overseas they are all well many folks of town furlough he surprised his folks they were so pleased to see him and we wish him an enjoyable time while here mrs betsy J longhurst died friday evening at her home a part ot of albert home where she has beer living for two years her funeral was held tuesday at two p in the funeral director was mr gilbert bills of evanston on the burial was in the woodruff cemetery wendel cornia took charge of the
