Show DEER HUNTING AREA ANNOUNCED BY department the following proclamation was issued by the utah state game department deer and game preserves erves whereas after due investigation we the state game refuge committee and board of big game control find that deer have increased in numbers in certain localities to the extent that a surplus exists and that reductions in addition to those obtained through the regular season on antlered deer are deemed advisable now therefore we the board of bi big game control and state game refuge committee under authority of section 30 0 54 first special session laws of utah 1911 1941 do hereby proclaim and declare the following rules and regulations pertaining to the hunting an and 1 I taking of deer under special permit during the season of 1942 and do hereby define the boundaries of state game preserves affected by open season on game animals during the year 1942 such rules and regulations hereby prescribed shall in no way affect the re regular open season of the killing of buck deer as prescribed by law under section SO 30 0 47 revised statues of utah 1933 special deer permits the utah state department of fish and game is authorized to issue permits for the killing of deer as hereinafter described of the total permits are for the taking of deer only on the areas and in such numbers as described below 2800 of the total permits are for the taking of deer of both sexes on the areas and in such numbers as described under special seasons cacho cache district 1200 permits for foi deer on the following described area beginning at the mouth of blacksmith fork river thence e easterly along said river following the right hand fork to its junction with curtis creek thence following east on curtis creek to the summit thence following the old canyon road east to the town of randolph thence following highway no 89 north and west to laketown Lake town thence following the bear lake shoreline from laketown Lake town to the idaho line thence west along said state line to the foothills at the base of the bear river range on the east side of cache valley thence southerly along said foothills to the mouth of blacksmith fork canyon place of beginning athis district includes all jf the area draining into cache valley north of blacksmith fork canyon all of the north side of the blacksmith drainage dramas e and all of the area draining into bear lake valley north of the old canyon road paradise district 1300 ant erless deer permits to be issued on the following described area beginning at the mouth of blacksmith fork canyon thence easterly along blacksmith fork river to its junction with curtis creek thence easterly along curtis creek to the summit thence easterly along the old canyon road to the town of randolph thence following highway no 89 south to woodruff thence southeasterly along the woodruff huntsville road to the divide between woodruff creek and the south fork of ogden river thence westerly along the summit between the ogden river and the bear river drain ages agea and continuing west on to the point of the mountain near the ogden hot hat springs on highway no 91 thence north following the foothills east to willard and perry to boxelder Box elder canyon thence easterly along highway no 91 through boxelder Box elder canyon and sardine canyon to the foothill edge near wellsville thence following easterly along the foothills around the south side of cache valley to the mouth of blacksmith fork canyon the point it if beginning this district includes all of the south side of the blacksmith fork drainage and all other areas lying between the Black blacksmith sinith fork river and highway no 91 between brigham city and wellsville and draining into cache valley also the mountain area east of highway no 91 between ogden hot springs on the south and brigham city on the north wasatch bloat creek distri district et 1000 1000 permits for deer on the following area beginning at the town of echo thence northeasterly along highway no 30 to the utah wyoming state line thence north along said Coni continued tinned on last page |
