It has been said that the work of all professional groups dealing with health problems would be much simpler if the fundamentals of nutrition were known and practiced by all per- , The Randolph Ward Day was a big success. We have been informed that the drive for $2,000 to complete the remodeling of the Randolph Chapel was almost received. About $1,700 to $1,800 was received. . The day was a real success.. The program by the Grade School was exceptionally good, and the band concert by the High School was very good, and enjoyed very mucn. Tne auction at the i'air Grounds was well attended every article was soiU. Tne rood Sale or luncaeon at noon, and- - tne dance, netteu around $100. There was a huge attenuauce. The music was good, and everybody' had a very line ' time. sons. . One of these fundtmentals can be discussed under food selection. A few years ago appetite was thought to be a safe guide to food selection, but this is not true as it often leads to excessive amounts of harmful foods. The appetite needs cultivation for the proper kind of foods. Liking a food is sometimes a matter of mere learning. Each days meals should supply: 1. Building fords with their PROTEINS in various meats, cheese, milk, whole grains, peas, beans. 2.Fuel foods with their CARBO HYDRATES in va ions sweets, simple desserts, breads and cereals. Fats are also fuel foods supplied by bacon, but' ter, nuts, and desserts. 3. Regulating and protecting foods with their MINERALS and VITAMINS found in milk, fruits, vegetables meats and whole cereas.
