Under the careful direction of Chorister John Neilson and Mrs. Ivor Butts, organist, the choir is fas into shape, and there is rounding every evidence that this beautiful ana stirring production, the work of th famous and conductor, composer Evan Stephen, will be on a par with The Vision and other masterpieces presented by the choir. Mr. Neilson stated Monday that a small charge will be made for admission to this cantata and that all proceeds will be turned over to the Evanston Second Ward and placed in the building fund. The Second Ward Is making a determined effort to raise funds for the erection of a new chapel. Musk! lovers are promised a real treat. The performance is being given for a worthy cause. The choir can be expected to live up to its past reputation. This will be the first rendition of The Martyrs in this section. Only three weeks remain, so while the choir works hard on the finishing touches the rest of us will have time to arrange to attend this musical treat.
