Year after year, it attracts championship exhibits from nearly every important livestock center. Two reasons for this are pointed out: one is the fact that Utah is at the stock center of the intermountain West; and another is the liberal cash 24-2- 5, awards that are made at each fair. Dern said: The Utah State Fair has become more than an exposition; it is an institution. For more than seventy years the citizens of this commonwealth have kept in touch with the agricultural and industrial activities of all sections of the state by attending the Fair. There they have been able to learn of the progress being made by their fellow citizens and without having to travel to the different counties and localities. Because of this fact, the Utah State Fair must be considered an educational institution. By attending it each year one may learn what is being done toward bettering the livestock and improving agricultural and horticultural products of Utah. In addition to that the patron may see samples of the output of the factories and the shops, the Mines and the mills, and discover for himself the growth and advancement in each line of endeavor. Each year the State Fair Board seeks to enlarge and improve the exhibition. New attractions are added, new buildings are constructed, and more and better exhibits are solicited. This year the Board declares the will excel all Utah fairs of the past. No effort will be spared ic the attempt to make the 1929 display the outstanding one to 'date in the history of the state." . - you and the and tires are lower now than ever before in history but no one knows how soon they may jump in price. Good RANDOLPH GARAGE WOOL NOT SOLD Suppose you were a sheep man and a woolbuyer tried to call you from Evanston to make you a good offer for your wool but could not get you and you lost the sale. Suppose you afterwards found out your neighbor pulled the line down with his derrick. You would not like it of course. Who is the loser? The Telephone Co. has lost about 35c for the call, but maybe you have lost many dollars through a lost sale. Who is to blame for the loss? We leave that to you to say. We ask all to be considerate with there derricks as a call is more important to you than to the Telephone Company. If unable to fix the line after you have pulled it down, at least notify us so it can be fixed. , . Ind. Tel. Co. Utah-Wyomi- ng i , , jo i C. t W. Walton, Manager |
