The prevailing rate of'taxatlon will be applied against this amount and the money will go to the counties in which these industries are located. Will they add to the burden of taxation because there is more to tax or will they live within the present expenditures? The return from' all the county assessors are not yet in, but on account of the general prosperity throughout the state it is expected that valuation will not decrease to any county except for very good and substantial reason. If the .assessors maintain the old assessment basis, the new valuation in the state will be $733,000,000. By economical administration of state affair there is no reason why the state cannot reduce the state tax from 2.4 mills to 2.2 do milCs. $12.53 This will be fcB favorably by taxpayers throughout the state and an additional 5 per cent for taring purposes slyuld be reflected in lower tax bills to every taxpayer.
