Show y Volume 3, Number 4-- H BABY BEEF CLUB South Rich Ntoes MAKS GOOD SHOWING AT STOCK SHOW The Randolph Hereford Baby Beef club made a very good showing at the Ogden Livestock show. They captured 8 ribbons, 7 cash and two special prizes, as follows. In the senior class Robert Rex, second ; Helen Jackson, third ; Harold Rex fifth and Zoe Jack-sosixth. Miss Zoe Jackson taking the blue ribbon on showmanship. In the Junior Clas Allen Hatch third, with Dale Hatch sixth. With a group of live we took first and second place grouped as follows: First Allen Hatch, Ben Rex, Helen Jackson, Harold liex, Dale Hatch. Second Robert Rex, Donald Rex. Oaine III, went to Missouri and selected a group of good bulls for the Uinta Land and Grazing Co. The outsauding calves of this group are from that breeding, which shows it always pays to have the best. These calves sold well with some running as high as $14.00. Wayne Kenndey received a broken foot and Elmer Frazier was knocked out for nearly half the game, but will be well by Friday. Last Thursday the program of the club Assembly was given by the of Randolph and Woodruff. Fern Eastman received a medal and Donald Rex received a Union Pacific scholarship. The main speaker was Samuel liex. Everyone enjoyed the program' and some of the town people attended. 4-- H The Baby Beef club tok their calvs and went to Ogden for the Stock Show. They received very high honor and so far have 3 blue, 3 red and 2 white ribbons. 4-- H 1 for coming. It was a long way to come but his very good lecture was appreciated by all those who were present. Dr. Goodman will be at Randolph, in about ten days to take care of the school childrens teeth. He will have his office in the grade school house. Parents are requested to have their childrens teeth looked after while Dr. Goodman is here. His prices are 50c per tooth for filling and extraction and is a very reasonable fee. SCOUT NEWS PARENT TEACHERS MEETING HELD The basketball team went to and played the high school last Saturday and minus two of our players who were at the Stack Show, defeated 23 to 29. ' We then made a club exhibit taking first place. This brings the largest club exhibit ever shown in the state at the stock show. RANDOLPH SEA FISH CAUGHT IN BEAR LAKE U. S. A. C. WORKER COMING Mrs. Esphlin of the U. S. A. C. will tour the county in the interest of the Home Reading Project of the A. C. Extension work. This visit was scheduled once before but owing to storm it was postponed. This time Mrs. Esphlin will come by way of Evanston and defy old man weather. Everyone is invited to attend these lectures and there will be no charge. Don't miss such a treat, youll never regret the time you spent listening to this talented lady. It is explained that the Chinooks have been planted in Bear Lake, and the fish caught last week and presented to the state game warden of Utah likely, was one planted prior to 1926. Two men representing the Union Pacific transportation interests were in town Monday discussing the subject of running the U. P. Bus system daily from Evanston to Pocatello.
