Show MAKING MORE ROOM ON SLED arrangement like one shown in illus ration will be found handy in hauling corn stalks when hauling brush fodder corn stalks or any light material the or binary sled is not long enough to hold bold much of a load laid in weight an arrange ment like the one shon in the draw ing x ft ill be quite a help in turning oft off the hork ork especially in clearing off the brush after the trees in the or chard have hane been trimmed in clearing brush from the nood lot and in haul ing the surplus corn fodder and stalks to the little ruts and gullies A large load of stalks lill go a great nay in stopping these it the flork ork is begun in time for the extension rails a piece of 4 ba b I 1 inch stuff 10 or 12 feet long N will ill be the thing let these rails lap on the top rails of the sled four or five feet hark alark oil off for holes as indicated by the dotted lines these should be ba one inch in size the hole next to the tha end ot of the sled should be ten inches or one toot foot from the end and the other one about the same distance from the end ot of the extension rat rail I 1 bore one and one halt hall inch holes hole a for the standards near the out end of the rails wooden pins holds the extension rails in place and bands extension on sled of iron keeps them from tilting up these the bands are shown in the drawing A bait bal bulfinch inch finch bolt placed through the top rail of the sled and through the band holds the rails together when not in use the extension ralla rails should bo be laid in the loft of the bain or in some place inhere they nill lull keep straight and in good shape when next the thoi are M anted |
