| Show COUNTY TAX LIST CAUSES DELAY reaper does work here instead of sending out of county thereby keeping the money at home this issue of the reaper is 13 late owing to the publication of the delinquent lin quent ta list of swier county counts it is something of a task to publish this long list of lanil descriptions but we ve hive the satisfaction ot having done the work at home and the money pa d out by the cownty for tie the rut lilton lilt on 0 this thib lit iia all goci goc to alz n of trie county instead of going to salt lake as heretofore tins this is the first hunein years that the list has been printed here in the county it is some thing of an all accomplishment for this office to do wh t no other office in tile the county can do print the delinquent tax list at home there his been some criticism prompted by jealousy that the contract for the publication of the delinquent tax list was given to the reaper but when the fact is taken into consideration that the reaper is the only paper in the county with equipment sufficient to print it here in the county the justice of the award must be conceded instead of the money going to salt lake workmen for the labor of setting the type and printing it is paid to men here who pay part of the taxes and help to ma etain the county government expense in former years the delinquent list has been printed in salt lake and the money paid out by the county has gone to men who have no inderst in sevier county we believe wo we will be excused for being late with this issue by our readers when these facts are considered |
