week the richfield post has had charge of the arr arrangements a ments for an encampment of the members of the posts for thi i county A number of things have worked against the complete arrangements arrangement which were planned in the beginning and as a result there was nas a lack of attention to details indich upset the plans of the originators of the encampment the best possible location in the cit city ws wis secured as a camp ground the lot surrounding rounding EUr the presbyterian church and that was illuminated with strings of electric lights which with the tents of the visitors made the cimo carno look very here the delegations from neighboring towns pitched their tents and made camp as in the days of N ore when they hunted the elusive redskin over the valley they built camp fires and cooked their humble meals and enjoyed the experiences ofa of ears agone the first meeting was held in the tabernacle at 2 in the absence of the pot commander E C peterson presided dod there had been a slip in the arrangements for this meeting and some of the performers had bad not been notified until the last minute that they iero aero expected to appear the third ward choir was wag pressed into sers sen ice at the eleventh hour hou r and a al begen hough no opportunity had been given this thib organization for preparation t rendered two choruses very y all acceptably pa the who ho were minute men in the community and who were always reidy ready for any duty which the officers demanded of them during the service commander aeson adjutant pratt and geni gen ral harrison barnson Har all officers of the veterans state organization lion arrived and the two former addre addressed sed the meeting while general harrison Har who is chief musician for the ezerins et erins conducted one of the campfire songs before closing the dance at the anona in honor of the veterans vete reins was well attended the veterans Net erans were under the impetus of the vi ailcy of the encampment opened with a parade of the veterans and their wives the parade formed at the camp earn p grounds and marched to the in ter section of main and center streets where the band formed in front odthe of the line and marched to second north street then counter marched to the tabernacle the aged veterans made an imposing array and many were the c complimentary remarks dropped a as the he
