| Show THE COUNTI FAIR sometime since there was nas considerable agitation stirred up on the question of a county fair the commercial club started the matter and a committee from that body was given power to do anything that would promote the project the reaper has waited patiently for news of the perfection of pans for the holding of a county fair this fall but in vain the committee has been lost in the shuffle and the men from other towns seem to be taking no interest in the matter there is little use of oe a long preachment from this journal on the advantages of a county fair july has gone and there theire is but two months left to pull off a successful fair for this year it is un fortunata that the gentlemen to whom this matter was as committed did not see fit to push it to a successful close this county has mineral and airi agricultural cultural wealth that should be ex clouted and there is no better means than the county fair for illustrating the countes coun tys resources the salina monroe elsinore and richfield commercial clubs should get busy and see that the fair is a go and that the arrangements range ments be not delayed but that exhibits be solicited for the exposi tion and that a time and place be decided upon without further delay the chief trouble with last years exhibit was that it was left too late and the impression gained ground that it was a richfield fair and not an exhibit for the county we can ill afford to have such bickering as the fair to he be a success must have the cooperation of all the towns in the county A county fair association has been formed and the members of that organization should get tog together Aher arid and stay Co together gether until something definite has been accomplished gentlemen the citizens of the county await with interest your further action in this important matter |
