Show J jaycees vrees J discuss civic projects A traffic safety program and street improvements were discussed by the richfield junior chamber of commerce at a regular meeting monday night at the armory armory with president J devon ford presiding it was the opinion of club members that the semaphore at the intersection of main and center streets should be used all the time and traffic trade regulations enforced for pedestrians as well as automobile drivers or that it should be removed and some other means of promoting safety devised the lubs clubs c safety committee was given the job of studying a safety program the city planning committee of the club was directed to contact the city council to discuss possibilities bili ties of working out some type of program for street paving the discussion was brought brought up be cause of the muddy condition of side streets during the recent storms the club considered further plans tor for the state jaycee board meeting to be held here march 9 and 10 and also talked of the feasibility of letting a ski club manage all winter sports an idea that was not given approval at this time |
