Show commercial students win honors compete at snow college will enter cedar city meet saturday richfield high school commercial students won five out of seven possible first places in group events at the annual snow college commercial meet held friday at ephraim twelve schools participated in the meet although there w were ere as low as two contestants in some events honors won by the local school are as follows first year shorthand first by a team composed of alta nielson juana jensen max anderson ana and lu jeane christensen alternate second year shorthand first by a team composed of larue orton evelyn and elouise gardner first year typing first by a team composed of ora nell christensen shirley mcclellan and thomas nelson second year typing first by a team composed of wilma gunn carolyn poulson and max anderson second year bookkeeping fi first by a team composed of evelyn jerry poulson and keith christensen for individual honors alta nielson won second place in first year shorthand larue orton first place in second year shorthand wilma gunn second place in second year typing keith christensen first jerry poulson second and evelyn third in second year bookkeeping jack duggan won second place in first year bookkeeping the other first year bookkeeping team members were billie king and mary evelyn mcmillan no second places were announced for teams the students will enter a contest saturday at cedar city and will go to provo on april 12 for t the h e intermountain commercial contests at the B Y U bryant jacobs and raymond love are the commercial department instructors |
