Show CLUBS HOLD BANQUET the senior and junior clubs held an annual banquet and dance wednesday evening in the north ward chapel with nearly members and partners present 1 the guests were seated at three long tables which were decorated with sweet peas and foliage in club colors pink and green miniature portals of welcome and vases of roses and palms formed decorations about the rooms the theme carried out during the evening was A joy ride to pleasantville Pleasant ville in the state of happiness mrs boyd brown welcomed the guests and introduced the toastmistress miss melba erickson who directed a program of clever entertainment during the banquet toasts were given by mrs anderson winget ernest lee mayor rulon melville and mrs elson hall A trio lawrence and clifford jones jone and john magleby furnished a a song number with mrs duane erickson at the piano mrs bert swain sang with mrs erickson at the piano miss mary steed entertained with tap dancin dancing gand and mrs melvin lowe played two accordion numbers morgan white and mrs S D ellsworth and glyde webb created much merriment introducing the theme song in my merry oldsmobile during the dance that followed the banquet twenty couples vied for honors in a prize waltz prizes were re awarded to larell A neb eker and miss beth bagley proctor bohman and mrs H roland and mr and mrs clifford ford forbush mrs rulon of the senior club and mrs horace johnson of the junior club we were co chairmen of the general corn committee of twelve members together with club presidents mrs boyd brown and mrs june ti ansen mrs bryon jensen and mrs mcka mckay y winget were co coa chairmen of entertainment and decorations committee mrs r s maud creamer prepared prepare d the t h e I 1 banquet a n she was assisted in in serving by a group of young ladies |
