Show local scouts off for national jamboree trip elated over a trip to the nations capital nine boy scouts left here monday morning for provo where they joined other scouts from the utah national parks council forming a caravan to the national jamboree in washington D C after recel receiving vinz instructions and inspection at the B Y U campus in provo they paraded in full uniform with their equipment through the business ness section to the union depot from which they left at pm pin p sunday evening the scouts held a pow wow at the city park each scout had his tent pitched and his sleeping bag on display the tents which had been dyed by the boys boya were in a variety of brilliant shades with indian signs and stories written on them mayor warner ne r spoke to the boys telling them how proud they should be to be the guests of the U S government ment H B mendenhall took moving pictures in technicolor of the now wow the pictures will be hown on the screen at one of the local theatres theartres the atres in the near future loral scouts who left on the trip are howard R Christ lansen norman fuellenbach john B cluff warren 0 cluff and scoutmaster P reed ped ed if ogden from troop homer ogden barker and T R warner from troon and R c bradbury of joseph mr and mrs cluff sirs mrs W L warner and daughters janell 1 I artha mae an ibid d C carol q rol and son and mrs reed orden accod the scouts to provo |
