Show regular meeting of city council held thursday at a regular meeting of the richfield city council thursday night dr H A dewey city physician reported that the state officials had advised that water in the swimming pool be chlorinated in v view low of the fact that water in the city natatorium has had bad an excellent record for purity he was of the opinion that it might not be necessary here he was authorized by the council to contact the state officials and make the necessary investigations at the same time he reported the need of some sewer improvements at the natatorium A committee composed of frank pace mrs alice hansan and mrs mida johnson presented a petition asking for relief from dust conditions on third north street the matter was turned to the street committee to investigate the cost of oiling the street howard A reported that lights could be installed at the tennis courts at the nigh high school at a cost of 21 the cost of operation to be paid by players A meter system will be worked out whereby each player will have to pay so much per hour G W coons reported work being done on the sewer line on main street streel at the same time he suggested the possibility of getting the state road commission to use their machine for raising pavement along the curbs and gutters on center street he also stated that a movement is under foot for the city to take over the alley behind the business houses on the east side of main street between first and second north streets the me matter was referred to the city attorney and will be reported upon in the next council meeting |
