lundgreen directed by miss larue goold the monroe grade school presented an operetta cinderella in flower land at the high school auditorium thursday evening the cast supported by a chorus of 45 schools will hold a play festival at monroe five hundred children will join in the salute to the flag and the singing of america following which will be the may pole dance games and relays parents are invited to watch the children participate in the activities mothers day was observed with special programs here may 3 because of the fact that stake conference will be held next sunday the south ward sunday school presented a program portraying the elements of motherhood from infancy to age beginning with the child rocking a doll to sleep and concluding with the grandmother welcoming her grandchildren A tribute to mothers completed the program following which carnations were given to 54 mothers in attendance sirs airs fred goold was hostess to members of her bridge club thursday evening miss mildred aylett mrs grant and mrs horace madsen won prizes A luncheon was served A group of friends of mr and mrs jack anderson enjoyed a card party and luncheon at their home sunday program was discussed by mrs earl collings mrs harold magleby read a one act play about the poppy mrs airs boyd brown gave a report on the safety program plans were completed for the poppy drive the
