Show full HELD at FUH many pay last tribute to worthy pioneer of north sevier funeral services were held wednesday afternoon at aurora for mrs airs sarah ellen harward draper mrs draper died at the home of her daughter in provo sunday morn morning ing from acute asthma mrs draper was born bom june 11 1856 at cedar city she was a child in a family of ten she was married barned to ambrose E draper in 1874 in 1878 they moved to aurora she was the third or fourth woman pioneer to come to that town she was a staunch worker in the L D S church and did some valuable work she was a sunday school teacher and primary teacher for forty years a relief society teacher for 54 years she has the record of having been with aurora families at every birth and death for 35 years she never accepted a cent of money for her services she lived a good life and was liked by every one she was the mother of nine children of whom the following survive mrs john durfee of provo mrs willard lewis of aurora mrs mary A richards mrs airs sidney humphrey and mrs chas thorsen all of provo surviving also are 46 grandchildren 26 great grandchildren two sisters mrs phillip mason and mrs ezra mason sr of aurora and a brother wm harward of aurora speakers were lee G durfee and edwin sorensen musical numbers included a duet and chorus by mrs bert ottley mrs von johnson and the choir two choir selections and two choruses the old rugged hugged cross and whispering hope by the grandchildren the invocation was by D M cloward and the benediction by ray mason interment was in the aurora cemetery john durfee of provo dedicated the grave many out of town people attended the services |
