Show R H S wildcats beat snow college by 26 to 0 score playing almost faultless foot bal throughout every stage of the g game ame coach joe buys richfield 1 wildcats defeated the snow college eleven here last friday by the wide margin of 26 to 0 both teams were held scoreless during the first quarter but early in the second quarter rex poulson broke through the snow line for a 60 yard run that produced six 1 points from then on the local boys settled down to steady ground gaining perfect defense work and brilliant football technique that was a credit to coach buys and andy dastrup former B Y U captain and star who had b been n here for some two weeks assisting with the coaching another spectacular run by poulson of approximately 90 yards and a short run by this same unstoppable back brought two more touchdowns which added to the score produced by a forward pass caught by earl acate over the goal line and netted a total score of 26 for the wildcats all of the local boys did exceptional work but the defense playing of marion peterson richfield end and the fine blocking of lloyd larsen halfback were outstanding the first league game scheduled for friday ag against ainest north S anepete high school has been forfeited by the mt pleasant school and in place of this game coach buys has arranged to play the delta high school on the local gridiron friday the kickoff is slated for p rn the delta team was waa defeated last year by the wildcats in a quarter final game of the state playoff and the millard county boys will be looking for a chance to even the score anyway it should be a great game |
