Show PILA SING MEETING 0 lock STUDY CLUB story hour project planned for children again this summer A most interesting study hour thursday at the home of mrs armina boswell with both sections of the club participating concluded the regular meetings of the richfield study club for this season A paper on the argentine and the city of buenos aires was read by mrs elsie barker the paper was written by her brother marcus peterson who is laboring as a missionary in argentine and supplementary to the paper mrs barker displayed the map and pictures of places of interest A paper on uruguay was read by mrs reva mrs dorothy buchanan read W H hudsons Hud sons book far away and long ago musical numbers included a piano solo hungary by richmond anderson a vocal solo long long ago by mrs helen poulson and two vocal selections roses rosea of Pl cardy and just a cottage small by a waterfall by kenneth L hood several several business items came before the club the ladies voted to appropriate from the club treasury to assist in buying music for a town band at the request of J G hilgendorff As a study subject for next year the vote was practically unanimous for a continuation of the travel course studied this year president lottie andreason was authorized to appoint a committee to conduct a story hour at the library for children of the community such a story hour was successfully sponsored by thc jhc club last year |
