Show civic LEAGUE HS TO COUNCIL 9 donated to natatorium league released from further services mrs mae mac sevy as chairman of the civic improvement league appointed several years ago to work vork toward establishing a municipal park in richfield came before the city council in their regular meeting thursday to make a report for the league and to ask that it be understood that with the recent appointment of the civic committee the league be released from its duties mrs airs sevy stated that the richfield study club had bad financed the planting of the park and that the civic improvement league leabu had I 1 been assigned the duty of install I 1 ing a sprinkling system for which purpose was raised by contributions a list of which was yead read and that later the committee had been assigned the duty of lighting the park however as I 1 there is no immediate need farj aorl lighting the park the league thought it ad visible to turn over to the council for other purposes the amount still in the leagues treasury consequently mrs sey sevy gave to the council to be used to pay a lady attendant at the city natatorium and 19 to be used for playground equipment at this community center the council accepted the report of the league chairman with a vote of thanks for the work accomplished complis hed and authorized the leagues release from further service the civic improvement improved nt league was composed of mrs airs may blay sevy chairman W B pace vice chairman dr al markus Al arkus S R boswell daniel peterson al M C nelson mrs airs T M herbert and mrs C J sumner attorney G D Wood mansy of springville Spring ville who is experienced in revising ordinances for cities of the third class again came before the council to discuss the revision of the city ordinances J B wilson and george F christensen were appointed as a committee to investigate vesti gate the ad visibility of baa having the work lone done upon request of the sevier stake primary board in charge of arrangements range ments for observance of july fourth the city agreed to help secure a band for the day and clarence smith was appointed to attend to the matter |
