Show S ff VE FOH CONTEST richfield high school again agai n looks forward to championship today the commercial teams from tho the richfield high school left for provo prove to take lake part in the annual t typewriting ype writing and shorthand contests to be conducted tomorrow at the brigham young university for four consecutive years the local high school has carried off most of the honors including tho the state novice championship in typewriting for which the award aard has her heretofore tolore been a trip to the inter international national contest at the expense of the underwood typewriter company two of the state champions of previous years will make the keys click for the R H S again this year miss marjory a member of the second year team and miss audrie cuyler who is with the third year team miss both beth beal bal who last year as a second year student accompanied miss to inirio ontario canada and because of her splendid decord was permitted to enter the national contests for second year typists will now uphold the it H a record as a third year student the awards for the contest have lave not yet been definitely announced but the same enthusiasm is evident in the commercial department under direction of mrs nellie B combs whose every effort has been bent toward keeping up the splendid i and spirit instilled by mrs I 1 minnie B vandergrift whom she succeeded last fall members of the typewriting teams are as follows first year lorna poulson june nielson and vera vcra stewart St second I 1 year I 1 melba gledhill ruby magleby and marjory third year vear audrie audlie cuyler edith miller and beth beal members of the shorthand teams are first year melba gledhill dobothy jessen and elizaaeth Eliz ageth roundy se sec ond year clara ruby mag leb and wanda the teams all girls have been doing on the side in preparation for this event they have the practice and confidence that is necessary for their success A pep assembly was held at 1115 this morning to give the team a rousing send off A full deport will be given next week it icely looks now as though what ohp wheat market needed was not stabilizers but shock |
