association held at st joseph mo blo feb b Z 21 1927 it was unanimously voted OM by the delegates to the national meeting that an official logging survey and publicity tour should be made by the officials over the entire P P 0 0 hy route and its branches from bew new york city to los angeles angele during the summer months july and august it was deemed necessary that such a tour be made as it had been ten years since such a tour had been made and then only from indiana west to the pacific terminal in april 1915 1911 P a sociability s oc ability tour 0 u r was started from fro m colorado springs colo by officials of the P P 0 0 hy which wass was conducted as far east as central indiana this was the first tour authorized since the organization of the P P 0 0 hy in feb 1913 the party left new york city monday july at 9 a in and has schedule time all the way with the exception of ouray colo where they were delayed on account of flood conditions however the delay was for only two length and location of the various arious types of improved road and tile the length and location of the poor eror unimproved road sections and to determine the length of time actually required to make the trip over the entire highway audits arid aAd its branches ih a comfortable manner carrying in mind all the traffic laws of the various states stater cities and villages so as to carefully observe them the next item and object of the trip is to bring to the attention of the millions of newspaper and magazine readers through stories concerning the tour the facts that the pikes peak ocean to ocean highway is the direct shortest and most scenic route across the united states As these 1 facts fact are collected from day to day as the tour progresses they will be given the daily press
