Show RICHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL miss huish has new dancing class miss nina huish physical education and dancing instructor of the R H S has organized a ball room dancing class the class met for the first time saturday at four at the high school all those who attended re report I 1 fort that they are well vell pleased with the instruction and results yells presented to school by clubs in assembly thursday the school received two new sets of yells about ten in number from froin the pavant davant and ever ready clubs for some time the school has been in need of now new and more peppy yells the clubs on the job as usual sensed the need and gave to the school the needed yells school to have improvements made mr air watkins architect of salt lake city and members of the board of education were visitors i at the high acl school bool monday day morning they came to see what could be done in regard to some alterations and improvements that aie being discussed nothing has yet been heard of their decision in regard to the matter class debates friday friday clas debates will be held the subject to be debated debate is resolved that the act should be amended to allow the manufacture of light wines and beer containing per cent alcohol per volume the freshman fre jiman team composed of virginia virgina isbell don hansen and wilda hendrickson dr will meet the sophomore team represented by valdez cowley and maurine cowley ruby camp myrtle and rex christensen junior debaters will meet helen isbell clynn thurston and vilda jessen of the senior team wildcats win from gunnison thursday the wildcats won their second victory from fro m gunnison on the home floor the final score core was 19 to 17 in favor of the wildcats with klar ogden making the most points for richfield quite a large number of students and townspeople from gunnison were present to boost for their team t ea m A As the boys ran in at the beginning of the game they were greeted with the school song sung by the students accompanied by the band the splendid spirit throughout was considered a helper in the winning of the first league game played in richfield this season from the beginning both teams showed a determination to win the tha wildcats kept their head howe however the score at the end of the half being 6 to 12 in favor of the local team excellent passing and hard swift playing was seen luring during the second half the opponents score crept up gradually but the wildcats lid did not relinquish the lead the game ended with the score 19 to 17 in favor of the local team the victors were carried off amid shouts of triumph and 31 joy v and much congratulating the lineup line up in the game was as follows gunnison Ril ifield childs gledhill rf K ogden bartholomew if ivie leen c bowman rg magleby collings ceilings iz G ogden richfield to play salina friday friday friday february 4 the wildcats will mea the salina high school basketball team in the game at salina the wildcats have been victorious in two of the three games and alipy hope to add this game to the right side of the ledger the boya are training hard in in anticipation of abi this Is and future games many students are planning to see the game at salina ever ready dance coming one of the biggest dances of th year is the annual ever ready ball which will be held february 14 at the anona people who are in posses possession zion of a 11 1 I A dance season ticket will be able to ue nw them for this dance |
