Show C H WING EW UE canadian newspaper carries fine report of ceremonies conducted at raymond through the courtesy of our monroe correspondent we have obtained an interesting bit of news from a canadian paper published at raymond mr wing was formerly superintendent erin of the utah idaho sugar factory at elsinore and is favorably known by a host of friends in this county the clipping follows A wedding of considerable interest to a host of raymond friends was solemnized zed at atthe the bardston cardston temple new ew years eve when mrs viola alexander daughter of president and sirs mrs H C allen alien became the bride of C R wing superintendent of the raymond sugar factory the wedding was an exceptionally quiet one as none of the immediate friends and few of the near relatives 1 knew until after the ceremony was over however a climax that exceed ed an extreme fortissimo was reached when a huge crowd of sugar factory men and local citizens under the direction of supt bupt T george wood and several sugar company officials organized a town parade saturday afternoon with the newlyweds as the center of interest after surrounding the house to prevent escape a small group from the noisy crowd was as delegated to visit the home of t the he couple and extend an invitation to join the parade the groom and bride offered little resistance realizing no doubt that such action would be useless they were seated in an old dilapidated delapi dated buggy and trailed behind a ford which was fitted out similar to a covered wagon bells of every description with tin cans buckets and every evern conceivable contrivance to create noise were attached to the rig and soon the fun was on they marched through the business section delighting the crowd which ga gathered curious to find cind out the cause cau e for the noise the fun promoters finally became satisfied that enough humiliation had been thrust upon the couple behind the covered wagon and after a few snap shots shot had been made mr and mrs ars wing were taken to the home of the brides parents where they will remain for the rest of the winter |
