Show 0 0 SOUTH SEVIER HIGH SCHOOL 0 0 senior day monday Itil clinch 10 19 even old sol must have felt an unusual interest in senior lay day for he shone brightly the whole time making it an ideal holiday senior boys and girls could bo be seen gayly flitting about displaying fiig HIP all class colors of gold and blue which consisted of ribbon rosettes with streamers even the faculty members were wearing those dignified colors the senior girls were kept busy all morning in the kitchen while tile the boys or of the class were busy running errands freezing ice cream and decorating the stage for the program the program proved interesting to every one and was wag given at 1116 1115 in the following manner twp numbers by senior marle mario played a piano molo eldon johnson gave a comic reading followed by a 1 vocal solo from irene Hai isen n a comic song by albert tuft and the class ti cation by jennie reynolds the program ended with two class songs by the entire class after the program the seniors and faculty members repaired to the dibi dining room where a delicious dinner was served miss swayze acted as toastmistress and several interesting toasts were given when dinner was over veva ireva tuft inducted the seniors and faculty out on oil the lawn where they were snapped in striking poses in the evening the crowd moved to the monroe hot springs where lancing dancing was indulged in the hall was decorated in blue and gold crepe paper with many jolly Ja lanterns to burnish the light for the moonlight waltz the seniors were well paid for their labors by having a large crowd turn out oil t and they feel that everything was a big success bucce sa both socially and financially school borad visits S S H S thursday march was one of our distinguished days the distinction was made by a visit from the entire board of education including supt bupt ashman they were only in our building two periods consequently they only had a few minutes to spend in each room the girls of the domestic science department under the supervision of miss heywood had prepared a delightful luncheon which was served to the hoard board members men ibers and the faculty they all wore looks of satisfaction os they left the dining room ir junior high operetta the monroe junior high sell school 0 I deserves commendation for their performance of the islo e of chance mr goldbranson and miss olson have certainly made a creditable showing with this operetta last fready night it was presented in the high school auditorium before a very appreciative audience ill 11 II day march everything is being put in readiness for the big day the boys of each class have been assigned their several duties in the renovation of the big letter some interesting sports are being planned for the afternoon ter noon A big dance will terminate the days celebration the musical comedy our instructor in music mr done announces that the cast for the musical comedy college days is now complete arthur baker jeldon webb melba erickson and ruth swindle have been selected for the leading roles minor parts are to be taken by arthur tuft horace magleby frank tuft ida arnold clifford forbush and niel IN madson ladson the complete chorus will consist of 70 people and mr done is preparing tor for a fifteen piece orchestra april has been selected as the date tor for presentation third term terin ends last friday brought the end of the third term of school we have undergone another siege of term examinations ami nations most ot us are recovering slowly and we are sure to survive unless the shock of the returns causes a relapse the students who were lured away from school last monday by the pleasant spring weather and mountain scenery are bitting their lips while they look at a C where there might have been a B a D where there might have been a C etc the ten per cent cut for stuffers was a blow |
