| Show MONROE TO HAVE NEW STER word was as received here recently by walter lundgreen to the effect that lie he has been appointed to fill the position of postmaster in place of oliver larsen whose term expired last september and who has given excellent service in connection with the postal work of the live applicants cants who took examinations last july it is found that bert n ranked highest with W A jackman next both former service men walter waller lundgreen and oliver larsen followed and were a tie but owing to the proposition put to the community to make a choice of whom they preferred to act in that capacity a meeting was called and a vote tak en the majority was for walter lundgreen who was postmaster previous to larsen and who had given excellent service for sometime lt it was thought by those on the inside ring the choice lay between lundgreen lind and heber swindle b but ut although swindle was a good man the public will feel very well pleased at having a previous postmaster in again it is thought he will take over the office sometime in january |
