former service men has been slashed in a gratifying way when representatives of the federal board for vocational education visited richfield this week with the object of carrying service direct to the ex service man the traveling case board of the bureau whose duty it is to rehabilitate and re educate soldiers sailors marines aud and nurses who incurred disabilities in their service for country that have become section for the purpose of mooting all men who might bo be eligible for such training retraining re and batiar their cases on the spot those actively interested in the welfare of former jervice men characterized tho the traveling case board idea as aa one of the most important steps yet taken by any bureau for the expediting of its work in addition to his bis innovation richard milton in charge of the caso casi board announced when paying a visit to the reaper another project undertaken by the board with tho the same end in view low putting our job over in tho qu milton said the federal board for vocational education has made gigantic strides toward putting over the big job that is an expression er of a nations gratitude in the past six months in this district alone he stated approximately 2000 men are in training and several hundred more are approved and will start in the fall and in tho the fourteen districts approximately are in training and possibly any man who has been awarded compensation is automatically entitled to what is known as section training which can be given by correspondence courses tutor in schools etc and which carries the cost training but not the subsistence allowance granted unde section 2 when a man finishes nis his training it the boards job to return him satis facto rily to civil employment in III richfield beld three
