Show SCHOOL CHILDREN TAKE TAIM PART PAIIT IN PARADE the parade and demonstration by the high school and grades last friday afternoon commemorating the entrance of america into the war was one to stir the blood and patriotism among the citizens the parade began at the high school where the students formed in line behind a band composed ot of students jissi assisted sted by some older players all kinds of banners with witty and wise inscriptions national flags the kaiser and the devil twin souls riding on the hearse and numerous other devices were displayed in the line at the peterson bank corner the grade schools joined the procession and the line of march was along slain main street south to th ird south then counter marched to the courthouse court house then back to tile the school house hero here school children sang several patriotic songs including the french national anthem and floyd houman hoffman a fresman son of mr ir ard and mrs E E hoffman made his initial appearance as aa a public speaker he delivered an address that chat was couched in excellent english with ideas behind it and he told in a very splendid way of what america had accomplished in ill a year of war it was a story well told and worth listening to dr fellows of the U of U followed with an address showing the utter depravity of so called callea german kultar and the atrocities of the huns the celebration reflected the spirit of americanism as it is being inculcated in the schools by the able teachers thereof |
