Show ANOTHER PIONEER 1 frederick beutler dies at the ripe age of ninety years WAS AN industrious FARMER OF RICHFIELD came to utah in the late and was noted for his intensive farm methods another of the older generation of men who came to this valley in tile the early stages frederick beutler was called to the great beyond last fast week at the age of 90 years he had been ill for several weeks with kidney trouble 6 and this with general debility resulting from old age caused his death on august 8 he was one of the most industrious men in this city he came from froin a country switzerland where intensive farming is the rule and he took particular pride in getting everything out of his farm that he possibly could it was his ambition to cultivate every foot of ground he possessed I 1 he was born in switzerland february 5 1827 and was married tomary anney in 1850 from this union on nine children were born and of these three sons survive him these are paul beutler of this city edward and fred beutler of benley idaho he came to utah in 1876 and settled in richfield his wife died in march 1885 and was buried here in august of that year he married lena frasse and four children were born bora to them these are charles willlam and ellda elida of richfield and emma B nelson of tooele thoele utah arthur of richfield and mrs william sawyer of cedar city two of the grand children were present at his bedside in his last allness he leaves in addition to ills his wife and children named 39 grand children and ag great grand chil dreir funeral services were held in the third ward meeting house last sunday afternoon under the direction of bishop anderson the ward choir rendered appropriate music mra airs george and the choir r singing sometime well under understand stane as one of the numbers G W choris gave a brief account of the life and labors of decedent and praised his bis life ot of honesty and integrity W H who had known mr deutler beutler during his entire residence in richfield told of the sterling qualities of decedent for industry and honesty and paid high tribute to the nation from which lie he came interment was in the city comete ry and many friends and relatives formed a long cortege which followed the remains to their last resting place |
