Show RETURNS TO NOTED STANFORD university henry E petersen son of mr and mrs alm H II 11 petersen of this city left here last sunday morning for california to resume his studies in the great stanford universe Uni university versi ty where he began the work of acquiring i much additional knowledge last year henry has been working along certain lines in the university course but has been giving particular attention to the study of che chemistry i and pharmacy in the latter making it his hobby for the field of tr 1 yav V J IN J R J endeavor which he has decided to pursue lie he is a graduate of the richfield high school has always been noted for diligence in study and possesses an ambition to excell good reports come from stanford of his proficiency and interest in the branches I 1 he e has chosen and one of these days henry will be one of the most competent pharmacists and drug authorities in this section of the western country we say this without reservation because when a young man starts out in life with an ambition to attain a profession and when this ambition is backed by determination to excell it is almost sure and certain that he will be a winner and that he will grasp the object sought for the coming winter winte r henry will study more diligently than ever before and will master many new problems in chemistry which will have A a bearing upon his future he is one of this cites very brightest young men and all our citizens will watch his developing career with pleasure during the past summer henry has taken much interest in the growing of beautiful flowers floers and his garden has been an infinite source of satisfaction to him his dahlias kahlias and gladioli have caused much favorable comment for they have been in a class of their own he rejoices in the fact that he is a nature lover and his friends are proud of him for the interest he manifests in anything of a helpful nature which appeals to him henry is all right one of these days he will have a surprise for many of us when he returns from the coast and quietly affirms that he is thoroughly fitted to ive work in tile the profession for which he has devoted so much thought and study it is not likely that lie he will return to this city until next summer when he will again occupy his time in the culture of rare flowers in which he has proven himself an expert |
