SOCIAL EVENTS EIN ENJOYED JOYED BY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS A number of interesting events were given at the high school last week on friday evening the executive board entertained the horne home economic girls at a halloween party A number of games suggestive of the day were played aad light refresh ments were served another event which was most successful was a spook party gi given v en by the seniors saturday night to gain entrance to the gym the ghosts were compelled to go up and down three long dark flights of stairs through a hall of inky blackness where they encountered a great many obstacles such as up chairs and squeaky planks and by the time they had decender dec ended the last flight of stairs even the ghosts were p paler aler than usual after hearing a few strains of music the spooks shooks regained their spirits and the remainder of evening was spent in in dancing and feast feasting itiL on apples and pop popcorn corri thursday day assembly program was furnished by the juniors seymore black Q hansera and miss woodruff taking part A delightful program was furnished bd the sophomore class on monday the opening number being a song by the choir followed by a piano selection by miss naomi farnsworth and a reading by bv miss ireta bell the dancing classes that are held every tuesday and thursday under the direction of mi miss s oliver are proving very successful the students are fast mastering all the new dances c es the interclass inter class basket ball series commences monday the series will consist of six games
