Show Dr. Winters Offers Play Ground to City Dr. W. P. Winters offers the city the use of the town golf course and playground for use as a city playground for the young people and children of this community for this season. The Doctor asks no rent or chaige only that the grounds and equipment be kept cleaned up, in good repair and in the same condition con-dition as when taken over. He does, however, suggest that the proposition be turned over to the Boy Scouts and that they be given the power to maintain order and cnarge a nominal fee for pleasure games, the moneys to be used by them to build up a fund to be used for Scouting "and Scout pur.ses. Also that no obscenity, or profanity pro-fanity be permitted on the grounds, and that no intoxicants or use of tobacco be permitted, as young ladies la-dies and children will be entertained enter-tained there at all times. The Doctor has spent a considerable consid-erable amount of money in building build-ing this playground and the city ought to appreciate it. |
