Show At Snow College Rosenburg and Staker from North Sanpete starred in the Snow-Deacon game at Salt Lake Friday. Rosenburg played an active center and Staker carried the pig skin for a touchdown. Lamb also scored for Snow. Both touchdowns were made by hard line bucks. And the teams are to be commended upon their good sportsmanship. sports-manship. The Badgers meet the Weber Web-er squad November 2, Founder's day on the home gridiron. This promises to be the best game of the season. Miss Pearl Jensen, a North Sevier High graduate, was elected by the student body for carnival queen. Others Oth-ers who ran a close race were Chell Edwards and Helen Anderson. Plans for carnival day Friday are completed. The day's program sponsored spon-sored by the year book staff has been arranged. There will be a free program pro-gram at the college auditorium at 11: 34 A. M. At 2:00 P. M. there will be a character charac-ter parade in which clubs, classes, and business men will participate. The parade with its queen and floats will be a meager hint of what will be seen at the carnival circus which is to follow. At three there will be a stunt circus. At 8:30 prompt the carnival ball will begin at Dreamland. Decorations j will be furnished by the College and I the . B. P. W. club, and will be tinted !in Halloween colors. Special features are carnival queen, prize dances, and : awards for the best individual and i group costumes. ! Plans are underway for Founders day j program Friday November 2nd. ' The Snowonian staff is planning its annual ball and carnival October 215'h. The carnival will include a character parade in the afternoon in which clascs clubs, and business men will participate A variety of stunts, a program and a dance in the evening will add much to occasion. Various committees have been appointed to work out the details of the different events in conjunction with a general committee who has charge of the day's activities. General committee includes, Jewell Rasmussen from Spring City, Vernon Davis, Mable Kelson, Myrtle Robinson, and Miss Dicie Brimhall. Mrs. G. W. Brand was hostess to the Home Culture Club Wednesday. Mrs. H. C. Jacobs gave the lesson, "Utah Artists and Sculptors." The musical program was presented by Miss Imogene Rosebrough and Miss Thelma Beaumann. |
