Vilate Sorenson is visiting her children at Springville, Provo, Murray and Salt Lake. She expects ex-pects to l? ive er.rly in December for San Francisco where she will spand the winter with her son, Nelson Sor-enson. Sor-enson. Mrs. Chasta Terry is a guest of her daughter, Mrs. Parker Miner this month. Mrs. Bessie Cheney spent the past month with Mrs. Alton Ellertso.i at Mona. Glen Graham from Panguitch and Miss Verena Graham of Bingham spent Thanksgiving at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Anderson of Fairview announce the marriage oi their daughter Melba to Edmund Cox. They were married in the Manti Temple on November 25th. They will make their home at Fair-view. Fair-view. Miss Loah Anderson and Mr--Leah Nielson entertained at a shower show-er honoring Miss Melba Anderson at the home of the former. Games, music and a dainty luncheon was enjoyed by sixteen guests. Miss Anderson has been a teacher in the public schools the past two yaatr. Mrs. Jacob Rasmussen of Lapninl is visiting Fairview relatives. All the students from the B. Y. U. and Snow College are home for the Thanksgiving holidays. The North ward dramatic company comp-any presented the comedy drama, "Yohn Yonson's Yob," at the opeia' house Wednesday evening. Thej cast included Maitland Graham,! Ivan Sanderson, Reed Tucker, Whit-! ford Amundsen, Catherine Sund-! wall, Helen Lassen, Helena Ander-' son, Rebecca Sanderson, Don Baik- er and Miss Emmeline Kindred.! Ths proceeds will go io the Relief Society cf the North ward. j The following program was given Wednesday at 'the Fairview hi.h school: singing by the school; invocation, invo-cation, Miss Hilda - Peterson; song by chorus, "O God Beneath Thy Guiding Hand;" story, "The Firsr. Thanksgiving." The second grade under the direction of Miss Glenda Rig'oy gave a puppet show. i Mrs. Ellen B. Jensen, 89 years old, died at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Oliver Clement, Sunday,' November 23id, of ailments incident ,o old age. I She was born September 1st, 1341 ' in Sillup, Denmark. She came to' Utah sixty-three years ago and settled at Moroni where she mar- j ried Andrew Jensen. They wera among the early settlers of Moroni ' and when Wales was settled the I moved to Wales where she lived until un-til nine years ago when she came to Fairview to live with her daughter. daugh-ter. She was the mother of eleven children, four of whom survive her, Charles Terkelsen of Mt. Pleasant; Enhraim Jensen of Wales; James Jensen of Murray and Mrs. Hannah Jierntnt of Fairview. One brother, Canute Bendiekson of Midvale, twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty g.eat grandchildren and two greafc-Si'eat-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services and interment was held at Wales, with Counselor ooren Jacobsen in charge. Music was by the Wales chir, with special solos by Vern Reese and Alfred Lamb. The speakers were Llovd Price, Bishop William R. Davis, Rasmus Christcnsen and Soreii Jacobsen. William R. Davis dedicated the grave. Mrs. Jensen came to Utah ior the sake cf her religon. Her hiioband ciied twenty-seven years ago. She has lived a long and useful life. |
