Show FAIRVIEW I By Special Correspondence Mrs. Rebecca Brady, 78, died at her home, October 13th, after a month's illness from pneumonia. She was born in Virginia, October Octo-ber 23rd, 1852, the daughter of James M. and Mary Pritchett. Her parents were pioneers of Fairview, She masricd Lindsay i. Brui'y in the Endowment House, Salt, Lake City in 1868. She was the mother of nine children, but her husband and five children preceded her the grave. She is survived by four daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Orsen Miner and Mrs. Otto Peterson of Fairview; Mrs. Hyrum Hansen of Tremonton, and Mrs. Francis Christofferson oi Burley, Idaho. She is also survived sur-vived by forty grandchildren and filty-eight great grandchildren, and also by one brother of Hurricane, Arizona. Mrs. Brady reared hjr own family fam-ily and also four of her grandchildren grandchil-dren who were left motherless eleven years ago. She was noted for her cheerfulness though she had many trials and has been an invalid for a number of years. She was never known to complain oi I her lot. Funeral services for Mrs. Rebec ca Brady were held in the North ward chapel Wednesday with Bishop Bish-op H. W. Jones presiding. Music was given by the combined Fair-view Fair-view ward choirs, "O My Father," 'I Need Thee Every Hour," and "Farewell all Earthly Honors." Vocal Vo-cal solos weie given by Mrs. Ellis Coombs and Jesse L. Young. The speakers were Ezra Vance, William Bonne, Bisliop J. R. Graham, Lh-vern Lh-vern Miner and Bishop Jones. Prayers were by William . E. Rigby and Willis A. Brady. Interment ivas in tne Fairview ceme.ery. Or-m Or-m Barker dedicated the . grave. Floral offerings were profuse. Among the out-of-town people who came to attend die services were: Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Hansen Han-sen and family from Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Ghristofferscn of Buiiey, Idaho; Mrs. L. A. Brady Jr. and family of Eureka, Mrs. Ellen El-len Wilson of Mt. Pleasant and her son, Frank Pritchett of Huntington. Hunting-ton. Mrs. Rebecca Brady was a faithful faith-ful Latter Day Saint and was a Relief Society teacher for many-years. many-years. Her mother Mary A.. Pritchett Prit-chett was the fust Relief Society president of Fairview and held the position for thirty years. Mrs. Brady, her husband, her oldest and her youngest son have all died within the past year. On Friday evening October 10th the seventh grade and five of the high school faculty went to the west hills for a weiner and marsh-mallow marsh-mallow roast. A good program and games were also enjoyed. |
