Show FAIRVIEW Mr. George Day and Miss Wanda IUn';en were married in the Salt Luke Temple Wednesday, June 13th. Both are prominent young people of the community. Mr. Day is rcout muster of the North ward scouts and both have held prominent positions in the M. I. A. In honor of the marriage of hei daughter Thelma to, Mr. Nelson Woodward Wood-ward of Salt Lake, Mrs. N. B. Pritchett entertained fifty guests at a wedding reception Saturday evening, June 9th. The rooms were decorated with roses and other summer flowers. A sumptuous sumptu-ous supper was served whih was followed fol-lowed 1 y games and music. Mrs. Hazel Vance of Long Beach, California Cali-fornia and Mrs. Vera Johnson of Mesa, Arizona are spending the week with relatives and friend.; at Fn'rvi 'W. Mrs. Herbert Hansen and daughter of Idaho siient the past week end at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Ilvrum Hansen of Tremonton are spending the week with relatives here. Miss Vesta Anderson of Springville is spending the week wi'.h relatives and friends at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson and Mrs. Merlin Madsen visaed In Salt Lake aid Garfield this wec. Mrs. Howard Rigby attended the Primary and Mutal conferences which were held in Salt Lake the past week. Mrs. Marion Madsen and Mrs. Lewis Mower visited relatives at Salt Lake the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Eli A. Day, Jr. of Green River, Wyoming are visiting in Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Epperson and three daughters of Provo spent '.he l st week end et Fairvie.v. Mr. and Mrs. Eli A. Day, Sr. will celebrate their Golden Wedding at their home in Fairview on June 19th. The two Fairview Relief societies loined in celebrating their annual day. June 14th at the South Ward meting house. The following program was riven: Community singing, prayer by Handsena Larsen. Vocal duet by Mrs. George Olson and Mrs. Ellis Coombs, speech on the purpose of Relief Society So-ciety work in the Eastern States Mission Mis-sion by Veta Anderson of Sir ir"''.!"' song by Mrs. Charles Mower; sp-ech by Mrs. Hyrum DeFrles of Long Beach California; reading by Mrs. James Rigby; benediction by Mrs. Lewis Miwer A social hour was enjoyed at the close of the meeting and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. E. H, Anderson were Salt Lake visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. A. U. Miner went tr Springville last week to attend the funeral of Mrs. Moroni Miner. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barnes and Mr. and Mrs. Wilis Howell of Nephi visited Fairview relatives Thursday. Mrs. Jordan H. Brady was operated upon for Goitre at the L. D. S. Hospital Hos-pital at Salt Lake June 13th. Mrs. Marie M. Robertson is reported very ill at her home this wek. |
