They formed a "line" party and attended the movies, after which luncheon was served at Seely's confectionery. confec-tionery. Club members present were: Erda Robertson, Winifred Cook, Mace! Robertson, Elverda Anderson, Ruby Hansen, Bertha Mikkelson. Special guests were Iona Seely, Jessie Oldroyd. and Melpha Augason. Mrs. Ivan Hamilton and daughter. Grace Lee returned Tuesday from St. George where they have spent the winter. Mrs. Carl Anderson is visiting at Salt Lake and Ogden. Mrs. Peter Jacobson of Provo is here visiting her children. Miss Eva Llewellyn who has been visiting at Salt Lake and Logan, returned re-turned last week. Mrs. Lester Blackham and son have returned to Kenilworth after visiting her pn rents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred D Smyth. Mrs. Rachel Aagard and daughter. Jiy sp?nt last weekend visiting her sister, Mrs. J. L. Nielson. Lewis Sorenson who is employed by the Jackson Motor Company at Provo, spent last weekend visiting his mother, Mrs. Sade Sorenson. Roy F. Millet and family motored to Provo Saturday. Mrs. Lyda Guymon and children. Marjorie, Edna and Fred spent Saturday Sat-urday visiting her sister, Mrs. Emma A. Nash at Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Rube Ivory, Marjorie Anderson, and Lucille Ivory of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting Mrs. Mercie Ivory. Mrs. Lester Holman entertained at a quilting bee at her home May 1. A six o'clock supper was served to the following: Mrs. Charles Allred, Petrea Barentson, Mrs. Art Edler, Mrs. Henry Peterson, Mrs. Frank Samuels, Mrs.' N. C. Jensen, Mrs. Vernon Anderson, Mrs. C. T. Christiansen and Mrs. Lauritz Madsen. On May 3rd the Home Economic? club held their monthly meeting, Presi dent Ruby Ivory was in charge. Roll was called and each member answered with a sentiment or a joke; current events were given by Mrs. Henry Peterson; Pet-erson; vocal trio, Mrs. Melvin Johnson, John-son, Mrs. Kenneth Johnson and Mrs Clarence Johnson; reading, Mercif Ivory. A committee was chosen with Mrs. C. T. Christiansen as chairman for the Strawberry Festival in June. Mrs. Wallace Green was surprised by a few of her friends on her birthday. May 3rd. Those present were Mrs Wilford Green, Mrs. Leonard Oldro3'd and Mrs. Wilford Green. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Miss Evanelle Anderson and Miss Geraldine Allred spent last weekend at home. They are attending school at Snow College.. " Wocdrow. the ten year old son o' Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pearmain died May 7th of heart trouble. Mr. Mayo, State Health Inspector, called on our city this week and insists in-sists on all back yards and corrals being cleaned up this spring. He would like very much to have everyone every-one use lime to help destroy disease germs out of doors. Cleanliness if beauty so let us all cooperate in helping help-ing to make our city more beautiful. |
