This picture, "The Girl on the Barge," starring Jean Hersholt, Sally O'Neil is ' something different. Don't miss it. . Mrs. Eph Nielson entertained at a birthday dinner Sunday at her home. Decorations were pink and red rose buds. The following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Swenson. Mr. and Mrs. Max Swensen, William, Marion, Allen, Boyd and Charles Swensen of Magna, Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Strate of Spring City; Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Ericksen, Betty Carlson and Blanche Poulson of Mt. Pleasant. The Lions club has appointed the following members as delegates and alternates to attend the District Convention Con-vention of Lions Internation o be held at. Midvale, May 25th: delegates, .1. R. Blackham, R. L. Anderson and E. D. Anderson; alternates. John E. Jensen. Morgan Lamb and Ernest R. Anderson. Ander-son. Charter night for the Lions Club has been set for May 11th 8 p. m. at the high school gym, with a dance at Paradise- Gardens following the banquet ban-quet and program at the high school. The committe in charge consists of Morgan Lamb, Russel Bailey and E. I. Isaacson. The Sorosis Club held their ' regular meeting Thursday afternoon. Social hour was enjoyed by the following members: Mrs. Ellis Draper,- Mrs. Marvin Anderson, Mrs. Mozart Larsen, Lar-sen, Mrs. Mert Draper, Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes, Mrs. Emmerson Blackham, Mrs. Joe Prestwich, Mrs. N. P. Sorensen, Soren-sen, Mrs. E. W. Stucki, Mrs. Ray Anderson, An-derson, Mrs. Leo Morley, Mrs. James Larsen, Mrs. William Olsen and Mrs. Blaine Draper. Mrs. Ednest Black-hum Black-hum and Mrs. Russel Bailev were hostesses. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bqyack of Mammoth are rejoicing over the arrival ar-rival of a baby boy at their home. Mrs. Boyack was formerly Miss Zenda Draper of this city. Miss Elda Rundquist who is working in Salt Lake City spent" the week with her parents, Mr. and' Mrs. Fred Rundquist. Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Aiken of Castle Valley are visiting Mrs. Aiken's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Niels Johansen. Johan-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson made a business trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. E. W. Stucki entertained the following guests Friday afternoon: Mrs. L. B. Morley, Mrs. Darrol Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Mrs. Ellis Draper, Mrs. Lec Morley and Mrs. Blaine Draper. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Drussel of Eureka were visiting Mrs. Drussel's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bruno, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Rudd of Eureka are visiting this week with Mr. and Mrs. George Draper, Mrs. Rudd's parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Jensen announce an-nounce the birth of a baby girl at the Dice Hospital. Mrs. Leon Ewing of Springville is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cloward.
