Show ; l FOUNTAIN GREEN j By Special Correspondence Mrs. Olive Llewellyn of Manti visited with Mrs. Laura Llewellyn in this city this week. Mrs. Leon G. Lund has returned to Standardville after a weeks visit vis-it with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Anderson. Mrs. Virgil Jacobson was operated on at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake on April 7th for toxic goitre. She is reported to be doing nicely. It is hoped that she will soon be able to return home, enjoying gooi health again. Melvin Anderson who has been in California for some time past, has returned home and is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eskil Anderson. Their son Lee who is atteending school at Provo is also home for a few days. There was a large number of our ward members who attended centennial conference at Salt Lake City this week. On Friday April 4th, funeral services were held in the ward chapel for Mrs. Hannah Robertson, Robert-son, aged 67, who died of pneumonia. pneu-monia. The choir sang "Rock of Ages," "Rest, Rest for the Weary Soul." "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Abide With Me." The speakers speak-ers were President J. L. Neilson, K. P. Jensen and Bishop ' Osmond Crowther. The opening prayer was offered by Urban S. Madsen and the closing prayer by President Abe Livingston. The grave was dedicated by Bishop Crowther. Mrs. Robertson did not have a living relative. The adult class of the M. I. A. gave a "basket" dance last Friday evening. Everyone was supposed to wear gingham dresses or overalls. A good attendance was present. Mr. and Mrs. James Moore of Salt Lake City are visiting at the home of Mrs. Moore's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Christensen. Mrs. Clarence Oldroyd has returned re-turned home from a Salt Lake hospital where she underwent a goitre operation. |
