Show A Receipt and Instructions for FUMIGATION Having been asked repeatedly for information in-formation regarding fumigation and sanitation, I have decided to submit through your valuable paper the following fol-lowing which has been adopted and employed by the U. S. Marine as th ? very best and most effectual method known to modern science. Have the temperature of the homo not less than 64 degrees, then close all openings, cracks, crevices, corking all windows, doors, and keyholes, open all case drawers, closets, books, etc., then proceed as follows: Take any old earthen, china or glass vessel, place one in the center of each I room and in it put about 1 oz. ol Perm anganate of Potasseum, and at the side of each vessel place a 2 oz. bottle of 40 degrees Formaldyhide. ; Then beginning in the room farthest ifrom the exit, pour the Formaldyhida in the vessel and get out as quickly as possible. Leave the house tightly closed for at least 48 hours, then take a pail of very warm water containing a solution of Bi-Clorid of Murcery 1 to 1000 and and wash thoroughly all the woodwork. This method will absolutely destroy every living thing including mice, cockroaches,' bedbugs, all desease germs etc. and should be used in all houses that has had a contageous or an in-fectuous in-fectuous desease within it or one that has been empty for some time. That this may be the means of saving sav-ing to my fellowmen a malady or perhaps per-haps a life is the profuond desire of Yours very sincerely, i B. A. ROSEBROUGH, Mortician and Funeral Director, |
