Show Jordan Brady i Married 69 Yrs. Patiiarch and Mrs. Jordan Brady Bra-dy celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary at their home, December Decem-ber 10th. Dinner was served to lorty of their family and close friends. They have had thirteen child: en. eleven of whom are living, liv-ing, they also have eighty-one grand children, one hundred seventy-five great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Jordan Brady was born June 7, 1843 at Nauvoo, Illinois. He came to Utah with his parents Lindsay and Elizabeth Brady in 1850, and came to Fairview in 1859. Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Brady were man ied in Fairview, December 10 1861. mt. Brady was a minute man in the Black Hawk war. He went to the Missouri river for emigrants in 1806. He and his family were called to colonize Colorado and lived there for a number of years. They also al-so lived in Arizona for several years. Mrs. Brady was born in New York City, November 27, 1844, and came to Utah with her mother, brother and sister. Their father died while crossing the plains, in 1851. They have been faithhful church wcikers for the L. D. S. church all their lives. Mr. Brady has been a patriarch for forty years and was a counselor to Bishop C. Peterson for several years. Mrs. Brady has been a Relief Society worker for many years. They arc both enjoying good health and are happy to be living to enjoy the companionship of each other. The elderly couple have been residents of Fairview for many years. |
